It does, but at the same time there's 4 strikers, 2 more attack minded CMs a RB a CB and a GK. Not the most balanced bench (but not having a go because I know it's mostly just what we have available atm). Also shows how lacking we are on the wings. I think I would have started Fernandes over Downes and then you have Matsuki as an option to replace Fernandes and Downes as an option to replace Charles (or if we need to solidify the midfield). I'd have probably rewarded Sesay with a bench spot too over BBD. But anyway, I'm just nit-picking really. COYR!!
Last year the odds were shot but broke even. The championship year I would bet on the other side and when say like Huddetsfield went 2 up cash out the £30 and then reinvest on a Saints win and win £150!
Yeah, but if it's not working, switch to four at the back, Matsuki in at 10, front two of Downs/Stewart and Archer and it poses a whole different set of problems for Wrexham. (And that's without mentioning Matty, who should be a cheat code at this level).
Quite happy with that lineup. Our best football against Brighton came when we switched to 3 CBs and put Yuki and Welington on as WBs. I have no problem with Fraser getting a start because he put in some decent shifts in preseason and was good at this level two seasons ago. The biggest surprise for me is Adarma leading the line but let’s see how it plays out.
My fears were founded, Fraser? No striker? We have three real central strikers on the bench. We are playing two wing backs but no one to cross to. Pointless
One for the gamblers. Any odds on Saints or Wrexham conceding the first goal from a corner awarded because the keeper held the ball for too long? Someone will get that dubious honour during the season, if it hasn’t already happened in last week’s games, and given our set piece defending habits, it wouldn’t surprise me if it was us.
Why are people confused? Fairly obvious 3-4-3 to start with, plenty of bench options to change that. Only confusing bit might be Adarma central, but that could be fitness etc as much as anything.
