Comparing normal employment and a footballers has always been a very bizarre mental gymnastic. It's not a real job and these people are living in a totally different world to you and me. The truth is people get upset when a player puts his own life before what they think they should be doing... Isak doesn't give two ****s about you and he owes you nothing.
I think they already have mate. They have realised that they can’t just do what they want like they can in the business world. They are used to just being able to buy everything. The rules are in place to stop exactly that. And we have hit the ceiling. We can’t compete with salaries. We can’t increase our revenue streams fast enough because the PL control that. So we are stuck in our pecking order. PIF dont like that.
He's still a paid professional. You can't down tools and act like a 14 year old. Request to leave is fine but don't refuse to train, travel or play. It seems that players downing tools to force moves has become accepted. **** him.
Absolutely.....this idea these clubs grew things in a special way and everyone else should do the same is simply a mental gymnastic. The people saying it simply want to believe they did it organically and they want to believe other clubs can do the same... Otherwise they'd be forced to confront the fact they're fake winners and have been for 30 years. Ultimately they simply like the rules and all their arguments are a disguise around that confession... They may not even know they're doing it, because it's emotional decision making. Nobody can do what they did, they've changed the environment, and man city only did what they'd been doing for decades in the first place.
It’s all relative aswell. He sees other footballers who are far worse than him getting paid twice as much. Even Targett is getting 100k a week and he’s not even good enough to play. Isaks getting paid £120k a week. While Haaland is on £500k a week. Isaks agent sees this and as such he is doing his job (the leech) to get Isak paid what he is worth.
He wants to fine. But refuse to train with the squad or travel - fine. Sell him to PSG and use the money.
Again this is psr... Newcastle would offer higher wages, players would be aware they can get them here, and they would believe Newcastle can do great things over the next 5 years.
Pre Man City’s takeover they were like us under Ashley. Liverpool are possibly the ones that did it organically. Chelsea where bank rolled. Cheated PSR rules. Manu did it through debt. Also cheated PSR rules. But the cartel did have to much power and where able to basically do what they wanted and the other PL clubs just sat back and accepted it because they where just happy with their slice of the cake.
The highest spending clubs since the sport began have been the most successful. That's the full value and full length of time... That's the most conclusive, but they'll seek to look at selective time periods to again find a way to hide it.
And we definitely could like but PSR is doing exactly what it’s there for. I still don’t know why PIF are not just lining up multiple million pound deals for commercial sponsorship because how could the PL stop it?
Yup. None of this grown organically nonsense. They want to stop others doing what they have dlways done historically.
Correct and nobody is even allowed to complain about it. You're crying for example... The fans of these clubs wouldn't last 5 minutes on the other side of that fence.
That is why those clubs brought in APT rules. To stop us receiving massive sponsorship to then spend.
We have to wait on apt2... That's how **** football is now. I actually think big 6 fans are missing out. It must be a bit like playing fifa with someone you beat every single time... Somewhere they must want a challenge, but they're afraid. Football was just better without psr and apt and everyone knows it.... The toon haters might think it's great, but they'll get close themselves one day and realise it then.
