Based on what exactly? It appears to me he asked to leave a while back. Maybe it was the being forced to play every game despite being injured that finally swayed it. People forget, it's a job.
And apparently some of the players have made their thoughts be known to Isak aswell. Which has made the situation even more awkward. Apparently Isak has a weak character.
I think bitterness and jealousy comes into it. I don't begrudge other clubs, but I'd like a fair sport one day.. Unfortunately that is never coming back and even if Newcastle do break through somehow we'll simply be another ****house club. Saw the old Newcastle are a small club with no history stuff being levelled at us again.. In todays world yes, but when football was more about local support and more pure Newcastle was a big club.... So it's a sickener.. The truth about football has been kinda erased. A handful of clubs won the big hands and the table rules have been rigged ever since.
I've got a permanent contract doesn't mean I can't leave. The club should have handled this situation better. Now we're scrambling around looking for any old striker in the hope we can then sell him.
No bitterness from me. It’s the fact that Jim said that the club could be bankrupt by Christmas. Then sacking hundreds of staff. And spending 50m on the training ground and 230m on players that pisses me off.
Even more reason to get rid. I think he was promised a departure if we didn't secure CL hence why it looked like he down tools after the cup final. Though at the time we all thought he was carrying an injury
It’s different in the football world. Another school wouldn’t approach your school and offer any money for you (no offence). And if you decided not to turn up for work because you couldn’t be arsed you would be sacked. We won’t be sacking a £150m asset.
Yes it did look that way. And that discussion with Van Dyke where it looks like he says to him “see you next season” suggests he’s been awol for a while. I believe Eddie knew aswell and is the reason why he made the “need deals done early” quote.
And that's why trying to grow the right way..... the ORGANIC way....... is a total waste of time and a crock of ****. Our owners have followed the rules to the letter and still they and we get branded oil or blood money club. So playing by the rules doesnt change peoples opinion. Therefore the only conclusion I draw and I hope after this transfer window, PIF draw, is that it's time for the gloves to come off. Exploit every loop hole, start court cases against the PL (see if Villa, Everton, Forest want part of it), become an absolute pain in the arse to the PL and the cartel. Push the limits constantly on sponsorships etc. PIF need to either **** or get off the pot.
