Team News Aji Alese and Luke O’Nien are continuing their recovery following shoulder surgery. Leo Hjelde continues his rehabilitation from achilles surgery whilst Dennis Cirkin made a recent return to light training after wrist surgery. All four players are expected to miss the club’s opening three Premier League fixtures against West Ham United, Burnley and Brentford before returning to action following the September international break.
[QUOTE="Southern A, post: 18563109, member: 1049650"]it’s utterly stupid from the club. Your opinion of course, I prefer to believe in the combined coaching and management groups planning to make the best choice for the squad.
of course it’s just my opinion. I don’t think anybody who reads my posts think I’m speaking from any position of authority
Filthy United played last night & playing tonight too mind both were are home not one in Germany like what were deeing
I think we've seen enough to have trust in the management that they know what they're doing....everything these days is planned to a minute detail. On the face of it,it's a little strange to have our 2 final warm-up matches in 2 days, especially as they are a good travel distance apart from each other.....it's hardly Shields and Gateshead. It's going to be very interesting to see who plays where. This club never disappoints for surprises!
Going off what the club have posted, Ballard, Hume, reinildo, diarra, mayenda and xhaka are out there
The experts on twitter are losing their **** about Le Fee, so that might be true It could be full first team or 50/50 but only 6 players have been shown boarding the plane in twitter posts from SAFC
Fully expecting there to be some surprise exclusions from today. Wouldn’t surprise me at all if ELF isn’t there. He has underwhelmed as a ten so far so I’m half expecting him to be on the bench next week. Barring new arrivals, today’s team will likely be the one that starts against WHU. Organising games this way only makes sense if you’re planning on giving first team players as much game time as possible so each team will probably be senior pros supported by academy subs. Noticed Bainbridge has gone to Augsburg for instance. Personally I’d mix the first teamers across the two games but it appears that RLB has gone for his preferred XI. Fair enough, although it makes his man management task a bit more complicated. I should say that ELF not doing so well as a 10 isn’t his fault in my view. I’m not sure it’ll work all that well with Diarra either.
€3.99 on Augsburg TV https://shop.fcaugsburg.de/fcaugsburg/fca-tv-tagespass.htm VPN neeeded: Please note: The game will not be broadcast in the UK.
You don’t know what conversations have been had with the group and who is and isn’t on board with RLB’s decision making though.
