Everyone agreed after last weeks game that we were not ready for the Premier League. We showed we had no full back cover and were lacking without Bogle and James down the right and lets face it James does suffer from injury at times and Bogle will always pick up yellows so could get a suspension. We need a good player who can play both back positions. We have already spent £80m including bonuses (£73.3m) yet still need a good number 9 and at least another Solomon or better and maybe even a ten. So without using the loan market we are going to be spending a minimum of £150m. Is that within our PSR reach? Many said we would only be able to spend £80m max to ensure no breach. Getting cover at full back makes me think our defence is going to cope and having our new keeper will keep us in games too. Midfield sees us with many options and Im happy with that too especially after we see them gel and get fully fit. As Farke said himself we need more up top as we need to score goals. I mentioned this last week but right now I don’t care if we break PSR as I need to have a team who will stay up and a few points deduction I’m not bothered about after seeing the likes of Forest do it and survive. I know there are plenty on here who think we will get treated differently to anyone else, but I suspect the 49ers maybe thinking about it too. Their whole business plan including stadium development rest on survival. Maybe inflate some sponsorship data, cook the books after-all it seems everyone else does it. Even Everton have just sold their ladies team so they can cook the books too, and remember they have been caught cheating for the last few seasons but still here.

Looks like Gelhadt is on his way to Hull and knocked back Rangers, Joseph having a medical in Mallorca so thats 2 out of the door but both loans. who wants Gyabi, Harrison, Greenwood, Meslier, Bamford, because we need to get these players out of the club and off the wage bill.

So we are still awaiting striker dominoes to drop and at long last Sesko looks like being sorted which means Hjoland could become available for £30m. However it seems the best strikers still available are not yet sorted and as Leeds have been linked to them all I will put them in order of preference for me, but what is the actual likelihood of us landing one of these, I would be happy with any of these by the way, even hjoland who was brilliant before landing at the scum:
    1. Mitrovic
    2. Kalimuendo
    3. Dovbyk
    4. Garcia
    5. Krstovic
    6. Muniz
For me Muniz unproven and over priced, Garcia would be great for PSR as a loan, Krstovic hasn't really proved himself, Dovbyk looks the real deal, Kalimuendo is the real deal and Mitrovic has a top reputation and record. For those who think Mitrovic at 30 is too old or has heart problems he has scored 47 goals in his last 54 club games, he scored 109 for Fulham in 190 games he also scored 62 goals in 100 games for Serbia at international level. He’s no Bamford and watch the clubs who go in for him.

On the full back cover front there seems to be only 4 names still linked:
    1. Maitland-Niles
    2. Mattia Zanotti
    3. James Justin
    4. Vinicius Tobias.
And this seasons new Ryan Kent award goes to Kalvin Phillips and Oxlaide-Chamberlain.

Fabrizio Romano says Man Utd will loan Hjoland out but need to pay £6m loan fee plus full wages. Sounds crazy but he only gets £85k per week

I’d rather buy him, don’t want him having a good season just for scum to sell him to someone else for 70m.

If its £6m loan fee and option at a furthur £24m dependant on us staying up, I'd go for it, not sure he will though

There are strikers out there who none of us as heard of yet. That came home today when I heard about Newcastle chasing Samu Aghehowa and he’s already scored 54 goals for Porto age 21. Scored 27 last season, so how come we ain’t looking at this type of striker. Newcastle are going for him and Kolo-Muani

    Happy Weekend...

I've got the Brum vs Ipswich game on atm

On transfer front I'm not worried. I get there are people on panic mode but we did epic business at the back end of the window last year and we still won the league with 100 points.

Hojlund wouldn't be a bad shout and he's not going to get much game time now scum have got Sesko.

I really don't think the focus will be the playing squad this season. I think the focus is going to be 'can Farke handle the Premier League?' I get we've not spent £150 million but Farke has been backed. If we get the 4 players we need we'll have signed 11 players.

I get we're only 45 mins in to the first game and there's 45 after this but I think Birmingham could do quite well this season

I think this goes back to what I've been saying all summer....

Know your level and sign smart not big.

The 49ers are yanks and they're playing Moneyball. After last season I didn't expect them to pay a fortune on players look at Tanaka and Bogle.I wouldn't write us off yet.

I'm not writing us off as there's still time but if we don't get the desired level of player in, then I don't think Farke can be held anymore accountable than the board but it will be him that pays the price.

It feels like a lot of the fan base already has TBF. It feels like we missed out on Paixo and people freaked out. His first choice was always OM. I don't want Muniz if the price is £40 million it's not worth it. Yes Tehmi seems a tad underwhelming but I had to google him to find out who he was.

We're using the RED BULL souting network so let's see what comes about with that.

It's down to Farke to prove his critics wrong.

I honestly can't see what Red Bull have bought to the table transfer wise, they own 2 clubs playing in Europe, they own 10% of us, not hard to figure out where their loyalties lie.

Before tonight I thought the top 4 was already written. I wouldn't mind seeing how Wrexham do against Southampton tomorrow but alas Mrs Wolves wants to take the cubs to the Royal Armouries
