You're going to great lengths of mental gymnastics buying into that story. The truth is simply that the players had better options and some Newcastle fans simply cannot just accept it.
Our approach is so wrong I hope the new CEO and SD come in and issue a statement something along the lines of: 'The past transfer window was unfortunate for all and lesson have been learnt. To all Newcastle fans, in future transfer windows, all information from media can be discounted as engagement messages as NUFC will not be briefing anyone on our approaches for players'. The only news NUFC fans should trust is that from newcastle's official channels.' Then when Newcastle approach a player, agent or club the 1st stipulation/condition should be stated upfront. Any news of this approach appearing in the media will result in immediate withdrawal of any approach or offer. That will quell the media circus. It may mean we lose some players as things get leak by agents but if that happens do we really want that player on our books.

Another entire week without anyone or anything arriving, I've not seen this much incompetence since ****ing Charnley was here. Not even close to signing anyone, Isak's training on his own all week, Howe's avoided a presser about the friendlies and we're throwing things around like we're clever enough to 'leak names' or throwing smokescreens!!! I knew the fans would fail to keep pretending they only wanted a club that tries. Everyone with half a brain knew that was a lie. The owners have landed champions league football twice in 3 years and won a domestic trophy for the 1st time in 70 years, and the fans are doing nothing but complain about them for various reasons. Meanwhile they lick Howes arse as if he's the only thing they needed or need if the people that paid for everything are chased out.
Can't agree. The change in ownership has of course helped but it's like 80% Howe. He's not been helped much since Mandy left. The do need to get their recruitment act together.
