Good thread. I started online weight around two years ago after I was diagnosed with high blood pressure early 40’s. I lost two stone but the blood pressure still went up at which point I got stuck in a rut and my weight was stuck between 15 - 14 1/2 st which was really depressing but if I stick to the exercise and eating well hopefully the weight will come off and the blood pressure keys stable.
Im quite a slight build but put on a bit weight as ive got older mainly in my face and beer belly and surprising how much a difference not having a couple of drinks during the week and 1 game of 5 a side makes First thing I go to now if im feeling a bit naff is cut drink to the saturday only
Mate I switched beer for wine a while back and lost so much chub it was unreal, got it back now like since I went back on the pints, madness how fast it happens too
During the week when I'm tempted to drink I find a Guinness zero scratches the itch. Trying to stick to weekends only for the booze.
I’ve been swimming for years mate!! My dad was a Durham County swimming champion in his youth back in the 1960s. The swimming gene skipped a generation with me though. I could stay afloat and move forward as a kid but that was as far as it went. It was only as an adult in my 40s when I decided to do a triathlon that I seriously started swimming again. Oddly I was more interested in playing football. That gene was never there either. I peaked at around seven years old.
Motivation--- go to Washington Galleries. Look around at lots of the people and decide you aren't going to get like that.
Great effort that. I have been doing well too. That said, I am hosting a BBQ tomorrow and have the urge for a few beers in the garden this afternoon!
You were right mate. Grade 2. Was seen this morning and basically got told light exercises to get the movement back then start building from there.
Any tips for a constant clicking shoulder? No pain and doesn’t affect me other being pretty irritating, dislocated it years ago and years of tackling with it probably hasn’t helped
If I had that answer I would be retired mate. Once shoulders are dislocated it's just a pain in the arse. Especially if your still training. Mine can be done then bang the rotator cuff just reminds me who is boss.
You got some resistance bands? If not get some, and just do some mobility, strengthening exercise, specifically related tho that shoulder. Focus on internal and external rotation exercises
I have mate aye I’ll make an effort on a morning and night to do them, I’m a walking injury back and forward to the chiropractor n all
Christ. Wore the watch last night after having a good few beers. Basically telling me , I am on my arse! Eye opening.
