Although annoyingly Mike White suggested it might be next week we hear. I hope not, as I don’t know why the EFL would want to drag it out any longer.

Useful clarity that Pickering was not one of those involved.
    Cheers

Not really? No one's claimed we should be able to register him.

Surely Palmer on his way out of Gelhardt is coming back, if there's interest from Oxford still any kind of fee and wages gone would be a bonus for someone looking at being 3rd or 4th choice?

    I don’t think we’d need that much.

I think the areas we could have improved more without the fee restriction would have been a LB, a midfielder and one winger. I’d have been happy with Lundstram, Gelhardt and McBurnie and we’ve already managed that.

Puerta would stay for me without issues financially, so that’s 3m and solves my personal problem with midfield. So that leaves a LB and a winger, that wouldn’t cost £27m.

Williams is good enough to confidently fill the LB position if he signs and stays with us, Akintola should join so that is the Winger if he proves himself but that is the same for anyone who comes in.

I’m not saying he’s not, but it’s a risk we needn’t have taken if we could have paid a fee.

Someone like Williams a Free against paying for one surely even if we could pay a fee Williams if he behaves is as good as anyone and we would still have tried for him.

Nah we can't have options to buy. And if he's contracted to 2027 as reported then he's not leaving that contract until then because his wage is meant to be massive.

That’s the key word there, if.

Relying on someone who’s been out of football a year and has a conviction is a risk. It might pay off. I wouldn’t have taken it with a position that’s been a problem for us for years if I had the chance to sign someone else.

If is the same for them all, Coyle got into a scrape not his doing but he got into one all the same things happen and hopefully the manager can keep them in line and hopefully Williams will be grateful the Club has took a chance on him and he repays us.

Also Zambrano is the same out for a year and conviction to but you would probably want him.
