    Basic contract law does not mean if you don't pay for something you get out of a contractual agreement. <laugh> If I don't pay my mortgage for the month the bank doesn't just say "Ah well no harm, we'll just tear this mortgage deed up" they come after you for the money you owe them..

    We’d have needed about £30 m to get the quality you and ST are hinting at for various players who are better than those we’ve found - I would guess financial trouble next year then ?
    The owner doesn’t have that sort of money free to burn does he?

    I wonder if the Puerta situation is more to do with the fee and not been able to pay it? It all seems a bit strange.
    Unless we go up Pandur and Hughes will be gone, they’ll have to do to keep the club going. The difficult thing is replacing them, the bright clubs like Brighton will have already identified a target or got the replacement in their ranks.

    I'm not sure. He is type of no-nonsense gritty player we've missed in years. I'm getting Snodgrass vibes (hopefully not injured first match though).

    No one would argue that we probably need another less gritty player ro benefit from him. I'm not sure if Gelhart is that player though.
