There's a fairly holistic appeal process though. Oxford had the same sanction; got it suspended for 2 years after demonstrating they could cover their commitments. Obviously I think with us, that would be an optimistic outcome, but it's not just about wielding a big stick, it's also about ensuring compliance in the longer term.
Context was equally as ****. The only way your analogy would have been remotely relevant was if Trump owned Chelsea. I’m genuinely fascinated why you think I’m of a lower social class than you and don’t appreciate culture though?
Usual suspect wishing disaster on the club he claims to support because he doesn't like the owner. Gutted it seems to be turning out not too bad
Both had multiple wives, both philanderers, both friends with authoritarian leaders, both involved with shady groups accused of preying on young women etc. Oh yeah, they’re nothing alike at all. My mistake.
As I've said before, I think it'll be reduced to one window and am of the opinion the EFL expects this, so they slapped the three windows ban on us to make sure we had a punishment of sorts. The views expressed in my posts are not necessarily mine.
What I like about these signings is what a pain in the arse they're going to be to play against. Gelhardt, McBurnie, Lundstram, Crooks, even Joseph and (if we get him) Williams have all got a good deal of ****house about them. Won't give opposition the kind of time and space we've seen in recent seasons
The point about hanging around with friends who are ****philes was one of the points you made. What was your last question? Why I think you’re a pleb? You just come across as one.
I think you’re looking too much into it. They aren’t holding our hands. We broke one of their rules, they’ve dished out the relevant punishment. It’s as simple as that.
McBurnie and Jakirovic both today mentioned that immediately after the embargo news hit players were unsure about coming here, about whether we'd be competitive enough to be worth joining. Given that we've often struggled to convince domestic targets to come here even before having the embargo, it seems quite impressive indeed that we've managed to sign the likes of Lundstram, McBurnie and now seemingly Gelhardt. It seems as though signing Lundstram has shown our ambition and it's snowballed from there. Whoever is behind this and whatever they've done has done a very good job.
We could have a poll I guess. Although I personally struggle who to vote for. So many deserved candidates.
The three window punishment is just what you get. A bit like doing 35 in a 30, it’s an awareness course or 3 points. DVLA doesn’t then come and tell you you can’t put a noisy exhaust on your car and you need to take your aftermarket wheels off until your points are spent.
I’ve not seen any allegations of Acun being friends with convicted ****philes? Link? But I come across as a lower social class than you and I don’t appreciate culture? Interesting take
