I find it weird that Puerta and Laalouai haven’t played in the friendly games. Both have been at each of the home games, and trialists have obviously played so the contract shouldn’t matter in pre season. If the deals get signed off then they’ll just be weeks behind fitness wise won’t they?
We were late with payments. The EFL have concerns over us not being able to fulfil the £20million in payments coming up over the next year or two - quite rightly. We might get it reduced to one window or even have that suspended. It doesn’t mean we haven’t been financially mismanaged.
If we are no longer under a restriction following the appeal, It means we were in breach of one of their rules. Nothing more.
You see that’s where you lose the argument , once the cheap shots come out that mean nothing . It’s pretty common on here so you are not alone.
Go on, have another whinge about people who say nice things about Hull but don’t live in Hull. It was so enlightening the first 13,467 times.
They made us demonstrate our plans were affordable. That's why there's been a constant dialogue throughout the appeal process. And no one is contemplating the sanction being scrapped completely. Reduced or suspended is the expected outcome. It should never have got to that point in the first place. It wasn't just one missed payment it was several and that's not including putting local suppliers at risk by not paying them on time either. He's had to buck his ideas up, which was the intent behind the EFL action in the first place. Questions about why it was allowed to happen are still unanswered.
Think kudos has to be given to the new brains team here, in the interview with McBurnie he mentioned how Dublin was constantly in touch with him, like a dog with a bone. To actually assemble a squad looking more and more capable under such restrictions is no mean feat. Well done to all involved, and if Gelhardt is done and dusted that just tops it all with the cherry.
