Level headed doesn’t mean ‘agrees with me’ Id argue those that ‘kept their head’ and weren’t concerned about our obvious issues (short term if not long term) also didn’t ’keep a level head’.
nail on head... all this talk of a player signing a contract is irrelevant...... basic contract law... no payment, no deal
But the EFL fee restriction is the best thing that could have happened to the club according to some and Acun was responsible for the restriction been imposed so….Acun has saved our season.
It was the best thing as it stopped Acun’s spending going wildly out of control. It’s forced him to sit down and realise he needs to make sure the books balance and I hope, hand some more control to those who know what they’re doing. I like the guy, and if he can maintain this current acceptance and more sensible approach, I still feel he can be great for this club.
Or since he was on a free So let loose McBurnie, Cos he’s a ****ing Tiger. Acun has got good taste, He was cheaper than a fiver. McBurnie e McBurnie e
At the Acun Q&A, before the ban was imposed, Acun said he’d identified two targets. Does anyone doubt he wasn’t talking about McBurnie and has he delivered?
Think so. He even got himself on the social media announcement vid didn't he? Look at me, look at me. Insecure individual or self promotion?
Regardless of who we have brought in, Acun has led us to the financial brink. The EFL don’t step in unless there are red flags everywhere. The club has been run in a chaotic way over the last few years. However, it seems Acun had put the brakes on and took on board the serious nature of where things are at. He well deserves the chance to turn it around, but he needs to carry on in this vain, more people are rightly more sceptical now, but to ignore everything because we signed McBurnie is just irresponsible.
Strange analogy. Trump has nothing to do with football. Acun owns our club and ploughs millions of his own funds into the club.
Whatever spin you like to put on it. I've no ****ing idea and I'm not that bothered really. It was a thought that just popped in to my head when I read your reply. There are so many ways of seeing the same situation. Just look at Russia v Ukraine and Israael v Hamas and the Sudan carnage which are way more important than what Mr. Acun does.
Yet few would be surprised if the EFL sanction isn’t severely reduced or even overturned. The fact that has happened within six weeks without any new major investment coming into the club means nothing other that the EFL overreacted.
Dublin, Hodge and Jakirovic deserve the credit for putting this squad together. Acun gets credit for sprinkling a bit of stardust on at the end to get things over the line. Acun also gets credit for allowing people to just get on with their jobs.
