Posted him on the transfer thread, some 33 year old Iranian striker who spends more time injured than Bamford - Currently at Milan
Anyone who thinks we are in for once great striker who’s now 33yo and not scoring needs to lay off the pop. Here is another more credible story from a credible source https://x.com/JacobsBen/status/1953481504677351588
The MedhimTerami story keeps popping up and I suspect it’s agent talk. If you discount his age but just look at his stats except for last season you see a worldy: 2012 to 2014 22 games and 12 goals 2014 to 2018 87 games and 45 goals 2019 to 2020 60 games and 31 goals 2020 to 2024 122 games 64 goals for Porto Then an abortion at Inter Milan last season coming on 26 times and scoring once For his national team he has played 94 times and scored 55 goals
If we’ve spent all this time chasing players and this is really the best we can do we might as well ask Orta if he wants to return
However what you haven’t seen yet is that Brighton in the last hour have fked off Dortmund and any other European team. They say the player isn’t for sale and is available for a straight loan only and will stay in England, so Jacobs hasn’t got the full picture
Jacob never gets anything correct, well he does, 2 hours after its happened. Why do folk subscribe to these clowns
Historically we do the bulk of our business late in the window so I'm not worried yet. I'd prefer to wait for the best option which will most likely be available late. I'm impressed with the squad we're building. Some PL teams have been devastated by departures and a few, especially Florist, have had a **** pre season. We deserved a draw against Villareal who beat Arsenal. I think Piroe will surprise a few in the PL. His finishing is top drawer and we've already got players who can supply him. I'd like a Striker, LW and cover for FB but there's still time and we still have 2 loans. I want to see us get rid of a few I think we have vastly improved our GK, defence and MF, not many of the teams that will be fighting in the same pit as us can say that. Most of them are no better or may be worse so are more desperate than us.
Wolves and Brentford have losnt players that you just cannot replace easily. Burnley have lost Trafford and Egan Riley at the back and Brownhill who created or scored most of their goaks last year. They've had to make Anthony and Fleming permanent so it's cost them money to be no better than last year. We've spent the 6th most cosh in this window. Sunderland have spent more but they have a league 1 squad that collapsed at the end of last year so had to.
That's a good move for us. I think he has a chance of having a good season over there and we might end up with some decent cash from him next summer.
Mallorca’s top scorer only got 7 goals last season so good chance Joseph becomes main striker and enhances his rep
If he starts banging in goals and we’re still pissing around trying to find a striker and failing to gain points, watch the tide turn on Farke for not giving him a chance
