BUT I was always more keen on Jones than most and I think the overall package of age and Ajayi having injury problems last season means at this point I would prefer Jones in the squad.

He signed a contract though. He’s no longer an employee of Bayer Leverkusen. What if Leverkusen insist on the deal and appeal to FIFA and CAS? It’s a ridiculous situation and the EFL need to show some common sense.
