The truth is young players and fans have been brought up on the big 6 notion for their entire lives. It's also worth pointing out that if we know about psr then so do players. So they ain't gunna pick us thinking we're serious club at this point... Newcastle are more likely to fall away than Man United are to stay below them.
But there's no evidence to suggest he's taken less wages from Man U - even if the lesser wages are a thing I'd imagine that a bit like Casemiro, they will have some ridiculous clauses in there for making Europe, giving him an extra 25% if they make Europe next season taking his wages potentially way out of our bracket... I don't see Man U improving much this season, they have Cunha who is a liability, Mbuemo is a good player but lets see how he settles in there and then Sesko could score 8 or 28 goals next season, complete unknown. Past that they haven't improved their defence at all, which was their problem last year, and still have numerous players who want out of the club asap.
Think it's down to Isak. Try selling a club to a young star player whilst, albeit allegedly, their current start striker is being treated like **** and not getting his progression move. Their in the fact that reports suggest Almorim spent a couple of hours chatting to Sesko whereas EH appears to know nothing about every transfer let alone chat to potential star signings
He hasn't even signed yet? How could this guy have any clue about what he's being paid? Like I say lets see where his wages are when they are released.
It won't help, that's for sure. We're a nothing club in the eyes of today's young stars.. A stepping stone to the big 6. These are sadly the facts.
Like when people said how can Man United be involved if they haven't bid. Guys this is the truth and it's not easy to swallow, but players would fight not to come here if a big 6 club wants them.
You ha e to build up to that level. We were 12mins away from administration when fsg took over, some shrewd business and some success over many years is why we are where we are. So try harder because no one wants to see another man city
Like i say he hasn't even signed for them yet so how does that one jurno think he knows this? Cunha has gone on 180k p/w Mbuemo on £150k p/w that is over and the maximum over our max budget for players, respectively. Sesko isn't going to be getting less than either of them... Add to that they have 17 (probably 18 with Sesko) players taking home over £100k a week, we have 7 (including Targett) so they have a whole XI above and beyond what we can pay. - A billion in debt but no PSR risk there either?
Debt is irrelevant when it comes to revenue... Pool's revenues were already there. Football clubs and businesses spend money to grow. We know that mate that's for sure.
So he's wrong again despite being demonstrably right about everything from day one? Seriously take the pill mate I did years ago... Players want the big 6 and not all about wages.. That's how far things gone now... They 'only want'
Just saying stop crying cos you can't be the new man city, grow organically and reap the rewards when you have built the club up to a place where they can spend fairly.
Everyone was reporting about Man U's interest it wasn't a secret, unless this guy broke the news some how I don't see how he can know what we offered Sesko and what he's going to take from Man U before he's signed a contract? The wages bit is almost immaterial anyway if he has made that up in sign on fee's and clauses to increase his wages later. Could be appearance fees, could be goal bonuses, could be qualifying for Europe, finishing top half. There are way to many variables for this random journalist to categorically and comprehensively know what contracts have been offered before the lad has officially signed anything.
