Rudoni and Fellows are exactly the type of signings you make to get promoted and help you stay up. Yes please.
Agree. Ideally on 5 year contracts not the seemingly obligatory 3 or 4 years. Equally, Coventry will not let Rudoni go easily. They'll have their sights on top 6 too I'd wager.
Which is what we should be able to push for if we sell Dibling. Especially if we stubbornly refuse to sign a new goalkeeper and the talk is that we didn’t actually need to sell Dibling or Fernandes to balance the books. It would also clip the wings of some potential competitors which is why it will be tough to achieve
Would make them number 1 and 2 in all time most expensive signings by a Championship club. No idea if teams look at stuff like that to gauge values etc but would be quite a statement
Rudoni basically means Fernandes is off. So whilst it's an exciting signing, its sad to see confirmation of what we have always kind of expected anyway
Yes, we should be able to drink the milkshakes of clubs in this div VvD was a £13m player himself. As was Mane, Tadic, Pelle, Wanyama etc well did very well in the area at that time. I suppose it would be in the £22m region today.
Yeah I don't disagree. If he has to go, which seems to be the case, then at least go all out on the replacement.
Should be going all out for Hamer but not sure he is achievable. Imagine he’ll cost about the same as Rudoni. According to a mate of a mate who is a Cov fan he doesn’t think they’ll sell for less than £25m as he’s only a year into his contract, apparently has come on leaps and bounds under Lampard and wasn’t great before then
I do think - if I was Rudoni - what's in it for him? Sure you go to a team who's more likely to get promotion but one more good season in a team where he's the main man and he'll be in the PL anyway. I just sense that's a tricky transfer for us to pull off. If we overpay a little, force Coventry's hand and they want him moved then that's different.
I can definitely see that. I am incredibly popular as I’m sure you can understand from our interactions on here
