The worst bit is giving Chelsea money to the tune of £80m, which is apparently their asking price. He's worth about £40m maybe. Possibly £50-60m in this crazy market, but £80m would be ridiculous.

Would take him as well tbh, 17 goal contributions across 34 games last season.

No way we should be touching Jackson with a barge pole imo! Disruptive and not got a great record in the EPL.

2 of Wissa, Mateta, Evanilson would be the preference for me - if we seem certain to sign someone from the EPL, all of them get goals and provide as well and could probably get two of them for slightly more than Jackson on his own.

When did YAR fly in to sort it all out and take care of business, was it this week or last?

And when was Hopkinson/Hodgkinson and Wilson supposed to start?

So much for Champions League appeal. This transfer window is only beaten by some of the Ashley windows.
We're linked with mostly bottom of the barrel failures. The press are loving it.

I do wonder if it's just the press peddling ****e just to make us a laughing stock.

The press are backwards. We can't sign the players we go for as we can't compete on wages with the "Big 6". They completely fail to mention or acknowledge this. Today was the first time I heard it mentioned on TalkSport on the way to work, and it was by a Newcastle fan on a phone it. Cascarino and Sawyer played it down, stating they think we can compete... which is horse ****. Really, I have to wonder if they're that thick, or told to toe the line.

Man Utd obviously cannot afford Sesko. So Chelsea help them out by buying Garnacho
