I can't believe you are describing Man Utd's recruitment approach as 'competence'. They have systematically ****ed themselves over the past few years through a grossly inadequate recruitment policy that has landed them with a regular procession of managers that are not fit for purpose and overpaid players who are not up to standard. This has meant that they have gone from being the team to beat to the team to laugh at and left them with a squad full of players that don't want to be there but they can't move on without taking more losses. Up until they managed to offload Rashford they had 5 players who they didn't want that they were paying £1million quid a week.

They should be a lesson in how not to run a football club. As one of the richest clubs in football PSR plays right into their hands but they have wasted the opportunity to the point where even they might be running foul of it.

Recruitment is easy when you are prepared to offer salaries of over £200K/week.

You have criticised our transfer policy for trying to sign umm, Cunha, Mbuemo and Sesko. The only difference between their policy and ours is that they got them.

We may be trying to punch above our weight on transfers but I am sure that there would also be a load of criticism if the first thing we did was go and sign 4 unknowns from Belize in the hope that they would be up to PL standard. We need to seriously upgrade our Academy and quickly and we have been badly let down by our last two DOF's in that respect.

 

Isak to Wissa + £115m.

 

Getting rid of Isak for players that actually want to be here and give 100%. He downed tools a long time ago.

 

I want Isak gone to be honest but it has to be on terms that are beneficial to NUFC. So we dont sell him until our recruitment is done or nearly done. If we sell him this week for example then all our target prices will jump up £10-20M as they know we have money and are desperate

 

I suspect that is why Howe said that he wanted business done early. It wouldn't surprise me if he knew Isak would pull this ****.
