Had the same shopping in Heron last year, systems down so cash only, straight to the checkout, job done. :emoticon-0138-think

Card payment system down, not the till. To save further back and forth, some prefer cash, some digital/card, some both. I use both, it suits me and many others, each to their own. :emoticon-0138-think

The blackberry's many of us had 20 years ago are considered early smartphones. TBF the first iPhone launched in January 2007 which is 19 years and 5 months ago!

    Time flies.....

Why would Hughes even consider Cov - 25 years since they were last in the Prem plus it's a ****hole - compared to City, 5 seasons in the Prem in the last 20 years plus it isn't a ****hole

Club that consistently competes for promotion and doesn't have trouble with the EFL and a poor recent record with paying people.

Same in Norway. Not taken cash out for more than a decade. Never had a problem.

Last 20 years, 7 years in League 1 and 1 in League 2 rest in Champ - hardly consistent until last few seasons - a nearly club, not even a yo yo club

He wouldn't be joining their 2005 side so I imagine it's of no concern to him. Right now they're a top championship side who finish top 10 every year. Annoyingly we were better than them two years ago but gave it up.

Hear hear. The internet is not as secure as many think. Add to that the dubious manufacturing of in built bugs and dodgy software by unscrupulous organisations.

If you lose your card or phone, you have a chance to cancel it and then the bank are legally obligated to return any monies lost via fraud. If you lose or have stolen a wallet full of cash, the bank arent obligated to do anything, maybe you can claim on your house insurance.

The vast majority of scams via online banking are where customers are fooled into handing over their details or transferring money themselves, as opposed to accounts being hacked (in which case, again, the bank are obligated to return funds within a set time period).

No issue with ppl who prefer to use cash. Just how it is. but eventually, the cost of using physical currencies will increase due to the handling charge and necessary human work involved with it, unless the government sets a law demanding that it can't be.
