Honestly if I was cynical I’d suggest Newcastle are being asset stripped for sale. It could well be the biggest bombshell is about to be dropped. Debt free, cash rich, skeleton crew but CL revenues and high squad value/low depth with aged players in their final year. Valued at £700m or so it’s over double profit for Saudis who now see their own league as viable, and it’s still a good investment opportunity for someone as the club could get to £1bn+.
