Game time and visa support would be achieved by loaning him to any club, whether they are part of the group or not.

If all clubs played in the same way you could argue those benefits, but that isn't the case.

The only benefit Saints have had so far is a slightly widened scouting network, although as we are so much bigger than the other clubs this is marginal.

Apart from a few marginal gains, the top club in a multi club model only benefits significantly when they are able to sign the top talents from the other clubs.

Nah, **** the wider group; the only club I care about is Saints, I couldn't give a **** how well the others are doing <laugh>

Genuine question (no snark) how does Valenciennes having a good season benefit us? At a push and if i squint my eyes I can see how it might benefit SR, but given that it seems pretty much all their funds come from selling our players I can't see it benefiting SFC. It's clear they're not interested in investing* in our team.

*Apart from pies, pubs and pizza obviously. Just need a radio station to brag about to go for Rupert Lowe

I still hate the multi club model tbh and really hope it's banned soon.

It'll be a Tella situation I imagine - a bigger club will come in at the end of the window and match our valuation (much to the misguided anger of the original suitor).

I fear we're in too deep for that, sadly :(

Be hard to do now with about 3/4 of the PL using it

I personally am not fussed by it and think the potential benefits are blatantly obvious. Far too early to judge it now and is most definitely a long game with it.

We would have an influence regarding game time hopefully. If we loan to another club they could easily just bench the lad and not give him any minutes etc.

Plus we can still do both, if we have someone who we think isn’t suited to Goztepe or Valenciennes for whatever reason we can loan them elsewhere.

The rumour going around is that Dibling was in Liverpool yesterday, hence why he missed training, and that his agency is kicking up a stink about Saints charging so much.

Personally think that's bollocks TBH. No credible source has reported any of that.

Oh I see the potential benefits of it. I'm not one of those people who thinks we waste money on players for the other clubs, the opposite in fact as it quite clearly benefits the main club.

But I think it's wrong and it partially takes away some of the identity and autonomy of the other clubs. Ultimately what the others can do is hugely linked to how successful we are which isn't right imo.

It's obviously extremely ripe for corruption also in what is already an extremely corrupt sport.

His agency wouldn’t be doing their job if they weren’t doing all they can to get him his move, so that part might be true.

And hopefully we're playing the card that if it wasn't for Saints bringing him back from Chelsea, he'd be rotting away in their system as opposed to have had a platform to be playing and now having the interest he's got

His representatives are not representing him very well…!!… it might be in their best interests if he moves to Everton, but it’s certainly not in his. I think he’ll move, much as I can’t stand them because of their bloodthirsty reprehensible owners, think it’s more likely and I think he’ll develop more at a club like Newcastle …

If Newcastle aren’t interested? If his options are Everton or Saints then it’s pretty clear Everton is better for him.

Well he's obviously keen on Everton so the agent probably is representing his interests?
