I would imagine the Isak situation is playing a big part. The owners have all the money in the world but simply don't know how to run a football club. If I was a player thinking about joining Newcastle, sat watching them do everything in their power to deny Isak his dream move, I'd be thinking "nah **** that". Compare that to how we handled Clarke and Jobe, it's night and day. It's no wonder we have signed numerous players "above our station", whilst players who should jump at the chance to compete at the top of Premier League and play in the CL are turning them down...
Exactly where I sit. It's not like he's off on a yacht somewhere, and all the others have scarpered off to Centre Parcs for a nice summer seven day break. I'm just enjoying watching anarl. I'm not used to a concerted and ambitious effort like this. Quite something really, and I am not getting even a bit sick of it. Same as when we play. I can do bollocks all about anything, so watch and just shout and support. It is a monumental task to stay in the league now. But we are having a proper go. It was the same when we are playing Morecambe and the rest. Just shout and support.
Yeah you simply have to be willing to sell players, even if it hurts. They are either unwilling to sell or are just bad at it, which is a big reason they have so many PSR problems.
If we ever get that far there will be no joke on us at all We'll lose out on players, and some will leave. The world has never turned any other way. But we have not ceded the core of our souls to an islamic dictator's whim. Nor do we think we are the biggest club in the world.
I've noticed some club’s supporters trying to tempt us into making claims about a top 10 finish, etc … … I think we all simply want to stay up, play some good football and score some nice goals. Having said that, I honestly think the club’s ambitions are higher than ours.
See I honestly don't think there is a ceiling, the people who run the clubs trying to break through right now are just a bit thick. Take the mags for example, they don't have a training ground sponsor or a training kit sponsor (easy PSR wins), they are unwilling to sell players and have a manager and his nephew running the transfers. Champions League ambitions with a League One structure.
That could be said for almost every defender who ever played. Stones is way, way out of our league. Just a fact that mind
I can’t wait for the first Newcastle interview when they do sign someone, ‘Yes, as soon as I heard what Newcastle were paying, which shirt numbers I’d have the choice of and how I could play alongside Kieran Trippier I couldn’t wait to sign’.
Realistically, we’re competing in a mini league with the bottom 6. I’d be over the moon to win or be runners up in that league.
Aye how can any player look at newcastle with players like LEWIS HALL and not be tempted eh absolute set of idiots

However, the club is unlikely to be willing to pay anything close to the €30m fee Bournemouth reportedly agreed. Leverkusen out?
There’s a twitter site called deluded world of smb or some such ****e, and he monitors otr for ridiculous claims. There’s a few well dodgy users over there who are obvious mags (or need committing), who keep saying top 6 champions league etc, and he then throws them on there. It really does make us look like self entitled ****ers as a fanbase, bit like the mags actually. I don’t think any real Sunderland supporter this year expects anything other than a fight for 16th or 17th imho.
