yes, I just disagree with you thinking we won't sign a CB and that the club would see relegation as an 'inconvenience'
****ing hell is anybody actually looking forward to the season? Nowt wrong with hoping for the best you know? What's the worst that could happen? I'd absolutely hate to live life like some on here do tbh. Footballs ment to be a bit of fun and something to enjoy, this is the best the clubs been ran in my lifetime and im sure as **** not gona waste it by being worried about **** that I can't control at all.
I cant wait for the season to start, yes its going to be tough, yes we will get beat a few times, but the optimist in me has to believe we will hold our own through skill and effort. If you cant get excited for the start of the season, when can you get excited?
I say sack the season off and just keep the transfer window going forever instead. We can occasionally play a friendly.
Well said. People going on and on and on and on and on and on (shall I go on?) about signing a CB I almost hope we don't sign one. (Joking obviously)
I mean, it's quite important we sign a CB, otherwise no one will likely enjoy this season haha. I'm looking forward to it regardless and have optimism we will stay up. The people who are going on like we are dead cert down i don't agree with and i think it's quite a miserable take We only have Ballard fully fit as of right now for senior CB's
I think you're missing the point that people almost believe they can control it Smithy. Constantly advising the club who to sign, how much to pay and how to play them seems reasonable to some people ... ... it's all 'we're desperate' 'must sign this week' 'offer another £5m' etc. In reality though, as you say, we may as well sit back and either believe the club are doing their best or not, it's that simple.
absolutely looking forward to it and absolutely hoping for the best, also trust those in charge to continue to give it a go and give us the best chance of making this season a massive success. none of that means people cant also be slightly concerned that as yet we haven’t strengthened a really important position. probably them just wanting the absolute best for their team can’t believe people get so worked up about someone else view, would hate to live my life like that
You're mischaracterising me a little bit here; I said I'm not convinced we sign a centre back, not that we will in fact not sign one or that I don't want to sign one. Relegation being viewed by the club as a disappointing inconvenience, meaning we will not sway from the path, that we will persist with the plan and immediately switch to prioritising promotion to get back on track. Relegation would not be a catastrophic event resulting in the current ownership abandoning ship.
Yep, he is, but he's a left back whose attributes and ability make him a good one. Not quite the physicality of a Premier League centre back IMO
