It's only the loans we would want domestically, and even then only some. Think SPL might be a good one for Johnson, bit not sure which club. There's lots to go permanently, and most of those would be abroad, some countries having a longer window than ours.
Although Huggins hasn’t looked great so far we must remember he’s been out for such a long time he’s bound to be a bit rusty. When Cirkin comes back after an injury he normally takes a few games to get back up to speed so imagine being out for a year and then coming back in. WHU might be a bit soon but we all have seen how good Huggins can be so I would expect a gradual improvement and by the end of the window he should be match ready. As has been said before, KLD and Co are not going to spend 140million on the team but leave the CB positions as they are. We WILL be signing 1 or probably 2 top quality CB’s otherwise the spend so far will very probably be wasted as all opposition teams will target our only (current) weak spot.
Probably right. Also I think we’ve spent so much that we really HAVE to stay up now. The effect of relegation on the squad as we’re constructing it would be pretty catastrophic so we’re pretty much all in.
That's my belief mate, it's like the old saying, 'don't spoil the ship for a ha'p'orth of tar'. It would be madness putting to sea, with all that talent, only to realise you've left the chief engineer and his mate behind so you run out of steam. Our first three opponents are bottom six outfits ... ... and remember what happened at the start of last season, absolute gloom but we won, won and won again.
Exactly! There are no half measures here.Everything they've done in this window so far has been designed to keep us in this league, the Xhaka signing on its' own proves that, not to mention extending Regis contract yesterday.
I hate to give an argument why relegation wouldn't be a disaster, but I honestly disagree with your take here, all of these lads, with the exception of Xhaka, are young and have signed long term contracts and would likely be easy to shift, either as season long loans whilst we try to get promoted, or as sales, some we might make our money back on and some we might make small losses but that's not disaster, it can enable reinvestment in new players. We've actually recruited very well as all these young lads are valuable assets even if relegated.
Of course we're going to sign a centre back man. He's doing his "presenting alternative opinions" thing again. He's entitled to them.
It would feel like a disaster tbh. You see this constant disruption at Burnley and it doesn't seem to help them progress ... ... I've never any idea who their players are.
There’s even more mental considering Ballard and seelt are the only two fit CBS for the first couple weeks.
Do you go out for Plan C to get them in the building for West ham or get by the first two games for Plan A Obviously not as clear cut as this but it could be a huge decision if like many of us think itll maybes be a £25-30m investment
