I think I prefer that to Birmingham. I've already accepted that Ipswich will finish in the top two, whereas I only see Birmingham as a potential top two threat. So whilst I'd prefer it if Ipswich weren't strengthening, I do favour them strengthening at Birmingham's expense.
Interesting that in the space of 24hrs they've moved considerably to try and reach our valuation. Wreaks of a team desperate to secure him before others get involved.
Probably. Also good though to let any club interested in Fernandes is that we won’t budge on valuations
I imagine with Fernandes having 4 years left on his deal the club probably values him at £50 million+.
You have to question some of these journalists, and what they know, because weren't we told it was ****ersen who handles outgoing negotiations?
He did, although I assumed it was an inside joke as they were all still in Spain (Alfie included) and there was a video posted out on the official channels at the same time, that featured Ramsdale, Alfie House & Adam Blackmore with Ramsdale briefly mentioning something along similar lines as the tweet
The tweet was about how there has been little interest in Ramsdale and Saints didn’t expect him to leave til the end of the window. Then like the next day the Newcastle stuff all broke. So either House is completely clueless as someone close to the club would’ve known about the Newcastle interest at that time, or it was an inside joke which seems weird for someone in his position to put on twitter. He’s a journalist and saying something like “no interest” only for the player to have basically left 48 hours later isn’t a good look you’d think
