From everything I've read, I wouldn't be sad if we don't get Sesko. Reliable journo's have said he's nowhere near the level of Isak. However, Eddie can elevate players so if we get him, also good! As you say there's something strange there that made Arsenal walk away and, honestly, if Man U are interested then one look at their recent transfer record would be enough to make me run the other way. My feeling is if we've met most of the clause and the player wants to come, it should already be done and the fact it isn't is a huge red flag. Personally, but what do I know, we should be after a different kind of player initially, someone with more guile, maybe someone who can drop more, be a foil for Isak, so the likes of Openda would be my priority. Then, if Isak goes, we need to be in for someone like Ramos, Sesko, Kean, etc.
I don't think anybody thought, four years into the Saudi takeover, that the club would be this insipid. Shearer's chimed in, saying it's been "really poor" that we were "supposed to kick on" and "disastrous".
Not at all. Just that you and Chaos (for different reasons) would have been thinking that four years into the Saudi takeover, that the club would be insipid.
