Im hoping Leipzig come in with some of the money they are about to receive for Sesko. Maddison has also just picked up a serious injury so wonder if Spurs may take another look.
Yep. We're looking for £40m guaranteed, £5m in achievable add-ons and a future cut of the next transfer, apparently
They are a pretty nothing side nowadays. Basically always bottom half not doing anything. Still an upgrade on playing for us but not a top side like he was being linked to
Yeah, this isn't the hackneyed old Joe Royle, Sean Dyche, David Moyes Everton.... It's the shiny new stadium, big backers, David Moyes Everton!
I'm not convinced it is to be honest. Just think he can do better to be honest in terms of the PL structure if he has to move.
Think the point is, Dibling won’t play much for a top side, so going to a mid table one is the most appropriate next move. If Charley Alcaraz can get in their team, then Dibling certainly can.
It's the biggest club he'll get where he'll play regularly. New ground and takeover means more potential there now as well. I actually think Moyes would be good for him too, isn't going to over coach him or anything but will just let him play his natural game.
I think it’s a good move for him, just responding as to why some might not agree. There are basically no players I can think of off the top of my head who joined Everton and improved/got a big move later on. Proper graveyard for players careers. Richarlison the only one I can think of, and it’s not exactly worked out for him anyway.
Yeah, it’s definitely a good move. They are just such an irrelevant club in my eyes, but then so are we so can see the appeal for him. Definitely a good move for him potentially though as their squad is one of the weaker ones in the league so he should get minutes
John Stones, Onana, Digne, Gordon etc too (let alone players like Pickford, Braithwaite etc who have been regular in England squads playing for Everton) They've bought really really badly over the last decade but hasn't been a graveyard for everyone.
I'm no lover of the blue Scousers but to call a club that has won 9 top tier titles, 7 major domestic cups and a european trophy irrelevant is a bit harsh... Like Libby says, they are entering a new era with a terrific stadium and new funding and Moyes has had success there in the past.
Yeah probably an age thing as I know their history, I can’t remember the 95 FA Cup final which is the only thing they’ve won in my lifetime. Obviously not irrelevant in the grand scheme of things
If winning big trophies regularly is what makes a club "relevant" then only about 25 clubs in Europe are relevant and we may as well pack it in He'll be paid a lot more, at a bigger and better club, in a better league. It's obviously a great move for him so long as he gets game time.
