Marnin' Washing machine has packed up. I could spend £300 and get one delivered and have the old one taken away, but I'm a frugal **** when it comes to these things so I've just sourced a fancy one on marketplace for £60 and will spend tomorrow breaking my back taking the old one to the tip and picking up and then installing the new one.

Police said officers and medics at Wembley Stadium in London responded to reports that a man in his 40s had been injured at 22:19 BST. The man "was found with injuries consistent with a fall" and was pronounced dead at the scene, a spokesperson for the force said. Oasis said in a statement they were "shocked and saddened" to hear of the death of a fan. They added: "Oasis would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family and friends of the person involved."
hope he is safe. I’m 3 rows back, lower bowl in September, bit worried more for the Mrs if it goes bonkers
Kept meaning to ask him why he's gone, because it certainly isn't his thing, he's more in to your mosh pit heavy metal stuff, complete opposite to anything I like lol. Maybe his Mrs is in to them, unless he got them as corporate and thought why not.
Was thinking back to Wembley and how bad place can be. Sheff U v Hull cup semi final I went through two rows of people in upper bowl celebrating a United goal. then in playoff final lad behind us slipped and fell behind seats just to left of me. now I’m a bit worried about how steep sections at our new place is. It’s all single tier, but still will be some mishaps.
I know when we were last discussing this, I tried to find some data on it, especially as it's all seater stadiums now. Anyway, I could find the number of falls, but they weren't listed specifically to how they occurred. Which is important when you consider the number of old and very young people that go to games - and pissed up individuals! It's not that difficult to stumble over seats, due to the lowness of the seats in front and no safety rail - and the steepness of some stands. This is the second publicised one in recent times, the other being the dickhead Maidstone fan at Ipswich While two events is far from any major concern, what might happen if something triggers crowd panic, could certainly become a concern. I'm of the mind we never really have moved away from the concerns of Hillsborough, and thankfully that's not yet been put to the test, by any major incident.
One of my cousin's tumbled down the steps at the old Wembley as Steve Walsh scored what turned out to be the winner against Derby in the 93/94 Play-off final ... fortunately, perhaps due to him being in his early twenties and the amount of alcohol he had consumed pre match, he escaped with just a few bruises... and some embarrassment ...
Yeah, the seats are low in front at Wembley. a lot of old grounds converted to all seaters don’t have much room in front to help you if nudged from the back etc. Will always be against the idea of rail seats unless it’s one seat, one person. They do have a raised back that protects the person in front and you from a shove from behind. about Hillsbrough, with the way things are going that place will be demolished in a few years, just leaving a memorial.
The steps were so shallow at the old place he had a good chance of rolling back up. lower seating was ****e, no backs on them.
Tbph I thought railed seats were one seat, one person? I agree on Hillsborough, exactly that, knocked down and left as a memorial. I think there was one ground where I nearly went over, might have been Tranmere, I was at virtual the top of the stand, we were all chatting, and my back was facing the rows in front, and I hadn't realised how low the seats were in front. I was fine, but it always made me cautious after that. I know at my gaff, there is no rails as you go towards the top of the Rainham End, it's ok if you are to the side, because you got a wall to fall against, but up through the middle section can be precarious if you are not steady on your feet. The other stands are fine, because there is no real steepness, well apart from the scaffold for the away fans lol. I suppose football bodies look at it as for the number of people that attend games every week, the numbers injured is negligible. I'm more thinking when an incident does happen one day, no one expected Hillsboroough to happen.
