In his position I think he should have influence on who we try to sign. He has to work with them and try to achieve something. Sesko of course having vast PL experience. The last two years we haven’t really had the money to buy and he didn’t seem to have full control of transfers like Anderson, Minteh or Vlachodimos. Not a lot he can do about Isak when he’s away in South Korea and quite rightly is concentrating on the players he’s got. Isak can wait till he gets back. What’s difficult to understand is how he’s got too much influence yet doesn’t know what’s going on. It doesn’t make sense. The obsession with blaming Howe for everything is illogical.
The last bit is the most telling. On one hand fans blaming Howe for being too powerful and then another blaming Howe for not being involved at all. For a manager at Newcastle there is no winning for some fans, they would rather the club just not have a manager.
Apparently we're considering upping our Sesko bid in an attempt to price Man Utd out of a move. The suggestion is that we want to leave player with the choice of move to us or stay at Leipzig.
Hate to tell you this mate but if we really want him we will pay what we have to. If we have other options we will just move on and leave you with a massive transfer price you didn't want to pay.
let’s have a quick re-look at that … 1) Hate to tell you this mate but if we really want him we will pay what we have to.” Did you hear this thing about players getting to actually choose who they’re sold to? That might be what Sesko’s doing…. thinking whether your lot are worth it… If he has some wisdom along with the ambition he may well be thinking … “Manchester finished very low in the Premier League last season, and it lost a cup final to an even lower placed Spurs. Manchester had a terrible season and have flounced from one manager to another these last few years. Time and again players have been bought and struggled there, and that squad has half a dozen outcasts that aren’t even allowed to train with their first team mates. There’s no Champions League, there’s no UEFA Conference League, there’s no Europa League at Manchester. Their stadium plans have hit a wall, and they have this business pariah that seems to want to make every non-player redundant. The fans of Manchester seem to hate their owners.” 2) If we have other options we will just move on and leave you with a massive transfer price you didn't want to pay. I think that translates as “if he rejects us - and chooses you - we’ll pretend we didn’t want him and somehow think we have the last laugh” Other than that you’re quite right, we don’t fancy unnecessarily high prices - outrageous fees and dumb weekly wages that make it pretty much impossible to shift a player (or 5) … that would be the actions of an absolute twat of a club wouldn’t it. Still, you keep telling yourself it’s 2013 and giving it the Big I Am… it makes the game more enjoyable
Good Morning all, Pleased to see the rain this fine Monday! There's no private jet activity other than one inbound flight from Milan late this Afternoon. Odds drifting on Sesko to Newcastle.
It ain't raining down here, golf boy. Rumours of Goncalo Ramos if we don't get Sesko, would be fine with either, though Sesko is the obvious favourite due to being a source of endless tedious Star Trek puns.
Tbf Sesko's will probably still choose Man United despite all that, so we are only increasing the depressing realisation that could soon be bestowed upon us by factoring all that in.
