One thing that does have to be be said about our pre-season schedule is the lack of a single home game looked odd before, as well as meaning that Frank's first game in charge of a home crowd won't be until the season kicks off - but now it also means that potentially the fans won't have a chance to bid farewell to Sonny

Good early aggression, putting barcodes under pressure.

Defensively we are getting stretched and having difficulty finding an out ball. As I say that Tel has a free run on goal and ends up confusing himself <doh>

Considering we are defending with 2 banks of 5 as soon as Newcastle start pressing, there are a surprising number of 'missed' runners... A lack of understanding between players I suppose - early days.

Very early. Newcastle are getting a lot of joy down our left side though...

Trippier jumps into the back of Gray, headbutts him
Johnson has a goal, but his other play is dreadful. Half-assed challenges and misplaced passes. Same old, same old...

On a plus side Kinsky's distribution is excellent...

Kinsky having a decent game. Seems a much calmer individual than Vicario.

Barnes equalises....good strike but we were far too open on the break.

Beaten at his near post, but it was a good strike.

...and then he lets one in at his best post. Well struck goal, although Porto might be a tad disappointed with that.

He could have a fight with himself in a telephone kiosk <laugh>...although TBF, Guilmares was lucky to escape punishment for grabbing him round the neck.
