Well done everyone. Maybe they’ll reflect on it when the people they desperately try to appease continue to hate and vote against them anyway. Probably not.
Ghazi Hamad: "Israel is a country that has no place on our land. We must remove that country, because it constitutes a security, military, and political catastrophe to the Arab and Islamic nation, and must be finished. We are not ashamed to say this, with full force. "We must teach Israel a lesson, and we will do this again and again. The Al-Aqsa Flood is just the first time, and there will be a second, a third, a fourth, because we have the determination, the resolve, and the capabilities to fight. Will we have to pay a price? Yes, and we are ready to pay it. We are called a nation of martyrs, and we are proud to sacrifice martyrs. "We did not want to harm civilians, but there were complications on the ground, and there was a party in the area, with [civilian] population... It was a large area, across 40 kilometers... "The occupation must come to an end." News anchor: "Occupation where? In the Gaza Strip?" Hamad: "No, I am talking about all the Palestinian lands." News anchor: "Does that mean the annihilation of Israel?" Hamad: "Yes, of course. "The existence of Israel is illogical. The existence of Israel is what causes all that pain, blood, and tears. It is Israel, not us. We are the victims of the occupation. Period. Therefore, nobody should blame us for the things we do. On October 7, October 10, October 1,000,000 – everything we do is justified." Nice chap.
I don't dislike the Palestinian people and I don't dislike Israeli's, those I do hate are Hamas and Netty...however, I would not concede to a Palestinian state, what I'm not saying is they can't return to their land, but no way would I recognise a Palestinian state after everything that has happened, it should be non negotiable. You either want peace or you don't a Palestinian state should not be part of the deal. Return all the hostages, get Gaza rebuilt, let the people return to their land, get the kids the treatment they need, and once all that has happened and peace has been restored, then we talk. We talk when Hamas no longer exist. In return Netty should stand trial for war crimes. The other condition is no rockets are launched into Israel from anywhere within Gaza. Thankfully I don't get a say in any of this, so now I'll stfu, but it's what my brain is thinking. please log in to view this image
If this proves to be accurate, it's utterly deplorable... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cx2x5eyl676o
Almost as if he wants those Western powers to retract the recognition ... either a complete fool or a double agent ...
I agree - the Palestinian state needs to happen for ultimate peace in the region, but there can be no link to the end of the current conflict and, in particular, any conditions being mooted by Hamas ...
It wouldn't be the first time the IDF has attacked the Red Crescent in this conflict. For over a year, aid workers, emergency workers and medical staff have been saying that they were being deliberately targeted and the world largely dismissed it as either spurious news, propaganda or a case of mistaken identity / collateral damage And then the world saw what the IDF did to those ambulances and the emergency workers. They saw Israel trying to deny it and cover it up (literally and metaphorically) and then woke up to the fact that it was happening. We know why Israel does not want foreign journalists inside of Gaza, because they will show the world what is actually happening.
I agree with this. There's no place for Hamas in the future of Palestine. But there is a caveat right now that nobody can escape, and that is that Hamas are still the de facto govt in Gaza and are key in the negotiation process. As much as Israel or anybody else wants them to simply go away, they aren't. And they can't be bombed out of the picture either as they will just recruit a new generation of fighters and this conflict just repeats endlessly. They need to be negotiated out of existence, and that means getting a ceasefire deal in place again, and the release of the rest of the hostages.....something that WAS on track until Israel refused to negotiate phase 2 of the deal back in Feb and then broke the ceasefire. After that, the US and Israel (as much as Netanyahu will hate it) need to say that a Palestinian state will be established regardless of this conflict, and that the PA will lead it. Hamas then have no future and no reason to justify armed resistance. The problem at the moment is that neither the US or Israel are anywhere near to accepting a Palestinian state, The PA is in a mess and there's no way of taking Hamas' word that they will disarm when Palestinians have self determination .
