    But Saints then score two

    This is the best week of the season for me.

    The anticipation, excitement, the how will we line up, the how will we play, the whole season ahead of us.



    Then at 2.15 on Saturday I will come back down to earth with a bump.

    I feel more comfortable about this game, after watching how we performed for the last 20 minutes today.
    For the first 70 or so minutes, we looked clueless, shapeless and toothless, as well as overrun in the middle. Could easily have been 3 or 4 down at HT, had Brighton not kept on looking for the perfect goal and taken one pass too many.

    Wasn’t it a delight to see a manager noticing when something isn’t working, changing it mid-game in terms of subs and formation, and seeing an improvement. I’d forgotten you were allowed to do that.
