Hi Evesham - yes, fell whilst jogging one morning in December 2011, smashed the bone into 7 pieces. First operation was a mess - not my words but those of the Consultant I saw privately 12 days later. He said ‘it looks like it had been done by an unassisted junior …..’ it had: I had a nerve block so was wide awake, and almost 2 hours into the op which lasted almost 3 hours, the doors of the operating theatre opened and a guy walked in wearing a pinstripe suit (yes - a suit in a sterile area!) and said ‘sorry I’m late’ - he then saw me wide awake and bid a hasty retreat. On 22 December, 3 days after seeing him the Consultant, he had to reverse / remove everything that Morriston (Swansea) had done and start over. He did everything in 90 minutes! Incredibly, it felt better the following morning. World Record
Blimey, that sounds like an absolute horror show. Where there is blame there is a claim? Record Breakers
