Downes, Matsuki, Smallbone, Edwards, Harwood-Bellis all to come back in (realistically the others are off). 5 loan spaces to still use, and 4 weeks left of the window. I expect a busy month.
That doesn’t mean anything. Preseason is for experimenting and fitness. You think he’s suddenly ready to play a Championship season as DM? He played DM three times last season. Whereas he played on the wing over a dozen times. He played LB more than he played DM.
He's not ready to start, but as a back up option alongside both Smallbone and Matsuki I don't think it's major need.
If you're not classifying Downes as a DM you're being very specific and there's no way we're signing 3 for that position only.
They're not outright DMs, but they're CM. I'm not sure we're going to sign a 3rd choice CDM who has starting quality to sit on the bench for most of the season.
We will play 50+ games. Third choice for a position in which we will likely play two on the pitch - will not be sitting on the bench all season. It’s okay to have five CBs. Three keepers. But not a substitute DM?
I had issues a couple of weeks ago with a Santander debit card but n issues with a visa credit card, if that helps
