Realistically the only teams expecting top 2 are us and Ipswich, maybe Sheffield United. I'm not talking about the aim as in if it were a perfect world. I'm saying looking at our manager and squad, we are probably looking like a play off side, which is really poor considering our resources.
Said this this morning but now I'm feeling rough as a dogs arse and lead up in bed so seriously considering mugging myself off.
Blackmore saying Fernandes won't play today, club line is that he's been ill the second half of this week
Leicester and Birmingham will think they can finish top two. So that's five teams with a realistic shout at top two. The difference in quality between the squads is minimal, so it comes down to manager imo. Ipswich and Birmingham have the advantage there, as they haven't changed management this summer.
No sign of Diaz, Smallbone, Aribo or THB in either team today. Wonder if that's anything to read into
So it’s No Aribo, Downes, Smallbone, BBD. Fernandes and Dibling probably ofskie? Jeez, we need some new signings Oh, and Edozie
In all honesty, I've always expected Fernandes to be sold. So I'm not surprised. I'm more disappointed that yet again Stephens and Fraser are starting. For anyone who thinks Edwards should be ahead of Stephens, our manager clearly disagrees.
I meant this pre season, but probably wrong in that too lol Anyway, Fernandes has caught that bug which is rife around Southampton at the moment
