Found this amusing article on FB...... Nicklas Bendtner was forced to go begging for his pizza among strangers on Saturday night. Stopping at a pizzeria in Copenhagen the Sunderland striker, on loan from Arsenal, turned to desperate methods when his credit card wouldn't work. Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet reported that Bendtner tried to get the pizzas for free, even asking staff: "Don't you know who I am? I can buy the whole pizzeria." A member of staff, who did not want to be named, is quoted by the paper as saying: "We told him that it did not matter who he was. If he could not pay, there was no pizza." "Don't you know who I am?" What a twat!
Clearly has a very high opinion of himself, "do you know who I am?" yeah you're playing for Sunderland
The way he's carrying on at the moment,he won't get another game for us..he'll be looking for a pizza of the action!!!
In my line of work I get the "do you know who I am" ****. Some are sports people, singer's etc. Couldn't care less who they are, always say " sorry but i have no idea". They hate it and always feel smug when I do it. But when they really are nobodies and they "think" they are I take the piss as much as possible and let them tell me "who they are" and still say at the end I have no idea. Sad I know, but I love it. By the way I have met Bentner a couple of times. He was canny with me but off hand with other people and seems a genuine ......knob head.
Sunderland's Nicklas Bendtner causes pizzeria commotion after credit card failure - report The loaned out Arsenal striker apparently had to beg strangers for money after he was unable to purchase his meal, and allegedly asked staff: "Don't you know who I am?" Dec 13, 2011 10:22:00 AM Sunderland striker Nicklas Bendtner was forced to ask complete strangers for money on Saturday evening as his credit card was declined as he tried to pay for pizza, according to Danish paper Ekstrabladet. The loaned out Arsenal man stopped at a pizzeria in Copenhagen where he placed his order of pizzas but was then unable to pay for them. The newspaper reported that the 23-year-old tried to get the pizzas for free and even asked staff: âDonât you know who I am? I can buy the whole pizzeria.â An unnamed member of staff told the paper: âWe told him that it did not matter who he was. If he could not pay, there was no pizza.â A fellow customer informed the paper: âHe was f***ing arrogant; acted as if he owned the place. All the people just stood and looked at each other and shook their heads over the way he behaved.â Nice to see he was there Sunday supporting the team !
Even as a man with a normal wage, I wouldn't stoop so low as to beg for food if my card was declined.
Copenhagen on a saturday night....shouldn't he be in rehab rather than grovelling for food...Couldn't even be arsed to watch his new managers first game..
