  1. I think it Should be Simmo. His only weakness IMO is staying with the man he's marking. Anyone with significant strength and aerial presence can lose him without much difficulty, which makes me worry a bit, as Colo is also not amazing in the air. Neither player is weak, just neither have a great deal of strength. Both can jump well and win headers but both can be shoved off by bigger players.

Apart from that, Simmo is an all round decent defender. His tactical awareness and instincts are miles better than Perch. He had to cover Perch a bit too often for my liking against Norwich. I think Simmo and Colo can hold of Swansea. Swansea's biggest aerial presence is Graham, who isn't that great.

Who should play if not Willo?

And don't anyone dare say ****ing Smith lol.

I still believe Kadar is the answer if AP gives him a chance

  5. Pardew obviously doesn't rate him, and I just don't know, it's too much of a risk. We really need the points now to stop a slump down the table and to pick ourselves up again. We need a win.

Kadar must not be good enough. So would have to say Simpson. Didn't do well last game but did a whole lot better then Perch.

So lets stick with someone more comfortable at RB and Perch then. Instead of a Hungarian international whos never let the team down when hes played

Pretty sure I read somewhere that Kadar's attitude hasn't been the best and when he came back from injury (when he was at Huddersfield) he was ridiculously unfit and had put on a fair bit of weight. Was a fair while ago though and I can't remember where i heard it.

Simpson. But Santon won't start, Raylor will be LB and Simmo RB with Perch CB. It's bound to happen!

Perch. He looked alright v Chelsea when he played next to an experienced CB. And with Colo back (and hopefully Tiote in CM) I think he'd be fine.

As for Simmos only weakness being not staying with the man he's marking, that's a pretty major weakness when playing CB. Infact it's an unforgivable weakness if you're a CB. You may get away with it at FB or in midfield as others may cover you, but do that at CB and you concede goals. It'd be like having an Olympic high diver who's only weakness is not being able to swim.

I agree. No matter what I want to happen I can't see Pardew doing anything else but that. That back four played together at Blackburn and possibly Forest so at least they'll have a better understanding of one and other.
Though we did concede 8 goals in those two matches so...

    Simpson.
Kadar is League One level, Perch is Champ level. Simmo is the only player (barring Colo) we have that is close to a PL level CB at the moment.
