He's got to be fit by now without a doubt. If he isnt he shouldnt be in contention to start full stop.

If anything he maybe a bit match rusty but I always get the feeling with him if he grabs one he can go ahead and bag another. Thrives on confidence <ok>

Snodgrass isn't a forward? McCormacks only scored one long shot this term?

Hard to see why Becchio starts in all honesty, dont know what he brings to the team.

somma is a supersub but only that, he has a great 1st touch and can finish. but hes pretty lazy and, despite being a big lad, wont compete for headers. i remember leeds v watford last year, he played up front with gradel and it was max that challenged for all the aerial balls!

as for becchio, he easily the best option when we play 1 up top. battles hard and hold it up as well as scoring his fair share of goals. my only criticism of him is when he holds the ball up and omeone like snoddy or howson makes a run beyond him, he lays it back to a deep lying midfielder rather than trying to feed the runner which can slow down attacks

Becchio is an out and out workhorse who gets himself on the scoresheet. He doesn't seem fit at the moment though, doesn't look the same player as last season.

Definitely true, but his poaching instincts can't be scoffed at. He's genuinely scored some cracking goals in his time here, and you don't get 19 goals in the Championship without being talented to some extent. He definitely needs more game time this season, but five starts (and only two full appearances) with two goals and two assists is still a good return.

He'll be back to his usual self in no time, I'm sure of it.

Becchio needs to be given a longer run in the team, and hopefully he'll find the form he had the last 3 seasons. Much more reliable scorer than Keogh and McCormack hasn't been finding the net since his early form.

Seems fed up and rushed back. Plus the service to him is poor, he needs decent wing play and crosses, not 50 yard aimless punts.

McCormack has scored atleast 2 goals from long range that I can think of and you said Long shots so that doesn't mean it has to be goals!

We have never really played with a striker that can take it round people it always seems to be a hold up striker that brings the midfield into play hence the amount of goals from midfield!

Somma is like Nunez for me, good impact player but not a starter. He doesn't fit into our first team very well and would probably be suited to a less physical league

Never agreed Somma is better as a sub. He plays he scores, simple as. All about opinions though mate :D

Long shots are only good if they go in? ;)

Adam, even short shots are only any good if they go in!!!

Thought for discussion: Keogh is a work horse & Somma isn't. Scores goals, & Keogh doesn't generally. Would they be able to compliment each other & form a good partnership (assuming there are no lasting effects of Somma's long lay off)
