i do not doubt Nigel Pearson's ability to spot a player and I am firmly of the opinion that overall he was a massive success for us and for that we should be eternally grateful considering where we were not too long ago, however, he did seem to have as many unsuccessful 'punts' as successful ones. For instance Adebola and Bostock. Did he sign Rowan Vine or was that long before him? I still think Pusic will prove a crock on a par with Richie Appleby. For me the jury is possibly still out on Brady. Is Aaron McLean worth more than a £1 million? James Harper? To name but a few
Harper, Bostock and Vine were all deals we did when we were skint, I don't think Pearson can really be blamed, he was just signing who he could with the funds available and considering he managed to still get Rosenior and Koren for nothing, he did a hell of a job. Adebola was a poor one and we overpaid a bit for Mclean, but overall his signings were outstanding.
yes they have and i feel its just paper junk to fill up space. two things that MUST be key to Hull City getting whoever it is they want is 1)Nick Barmby in charge and 2)where we are in the league table. By Jan 3rd Hull City could well be top looking at the way games are going. But i think we have a great chance of getting the one NB is after for sure.

IF and it is a big IF, anthony gerrard wants to come back to hull city in the summer HE can sign a pre-contract with us in Jan as his own contract runs out @ cardiff next summer. whatever league City are in next season getting a player of his quality for nowt(transfer fee wise) is great business. i wonder if AG has been ringing our Nicky of late ?
i think you will find that both he and matthew bates (boros capt centre-bacK) WILL BOTH BE GOING in jan to the PL. swansea want Bates still. Emnes has been watched by Sunderland - Everton and Bolton.
We need 2 strikers of quality I think Soton have Lambert, Ghuly, De Ridder and they are adding in January. We only have Fryatt and McClean as recognised strikers (not sure whether to include Adebolla as a recognised striker ) If we got one quality addition, then I guess that would do, we've got other make shift attackers in Stewart and Garcia. We've lost Waghorn, Simpson and the services of Barmby off the bench.
