Parking charges, Tax on being able to own car AND actually put fuel in it to drive somewhere

 

In Rochester now they do a thing for parking which is very similar to how they do the dart tag (although you don't have a tag anymore).

You set up an account, and every car park you go in under their jurisdiction automatically charges you, via the VNPR system. Only reason I know is because my lad uses it...I didn't think to ask if they get a cheaper rate doing it like that.

Medway Hospital has also changed it's pay for parking, the barrier now auto lifts to let you in, VNPR sytem and you tap your card at the barrier when you leave. It still has other methods of paying, which means you finding a machine to do so.
