It amazes me how many people on social media regurgitate the drivel that Sky pundits and lazy journos throw at us ... I felt the need to respond to a Leeds fan on facebook as per below Charlie Ken Leeds fan here, last time Bielsa lit up the league with what we're in the main, championship players but as history shows his tactics were found out and we got mashed and Radrizanni just didn't have the cash to invest when we stayed up by the skin of our teeth and down we went. The red bull investment came a season too late. But we have owners that appear to get the club, we've made some decent signings on paper but we don't know how they'll adapt. Farke too, if he goes possession based we will more than likely get mashed again. In the Prem you can't just play one way. I think Farke has definitely gone for defence. We have decent options up front except at striker. Tanaka for me will show the Prem just how good he is Juna Spotnicki (my anti spam alias) Charlie Ken nonsense ... Bielsa never go "found out", that was rubbish being spread by Leeds hating journos and pundits who detested Bielsa for returning Leeds to the Prem what happened was Radz refused to put money into improving the squad after Bielsa made it clear he needed SIX new/fresh players for his second season in the Prem go and look at the team Bielsa was forced to play at Citeh in that second season, it's embarrassing!! As for Farke, he is a quality manager and he's built a proper team at Leeds playing good football and grafting extremely hard ... Leeds will not be in a relegation struggle this season, that's for sure, and unlike Radz the 49ers will continue to improve the squad Kinnear said it himself at the start of Bielsa's second season in the Prem, "Leeds don't really need more players, the manager has done a fantastic job with what we've got and he should be able to keep doing it" What an idiot!! At one point Leeds had FOURTEEN first team players out injured, yet Radz still did nothing in the January window to help the squad as "a number of players should be returning to fitness in February" ... Radz didn't want to spend because he wanted to keep the club cash rich for the sale to 49ers Farke struggled at Norwich because their owners, as they have since admitted publicly, refused to invest in the team as they never saw survival in the Prem as a realistic option ... that's why they kept Farke on after their first relegation, they knew he would get them back up and into the money for another year, and then four years of Prem cash if they didn't go up again ... they had to sack Farke in his second Prem campaign when it was clear the squad was far too weak for the Prem so they could shift blame to the manager rather than take responsibility for investing in the team This Leeds team is a very capable bunch, they're hard grafters and there's undoubted quality as well ... they're disciplined, focused, together and they understand their roles clearly within Farke's system ON ON ONN!!! PS. in the Prem you CAN play one way, most teams do ... the key is to do it well, and that means having the players to do it, that's all This "you can't play the same way" is a load of tosh thrown out there by thick pundits trying to sound clever ... it's right up there with "you can't win anything with kids" As stated above, Bielsa got derailed by injuries, and his system struggled because he didn't have the necessary quality available to be effective 49ers are building solid squad depth to help Farke, and the important areas are defence and midfield ... Leeds are strong there now, they also have excellent options out wide for the swift counters and to keep opposing full backs thinking defensively rather than attacking Leeds will be a good watch in the Prem, and they will upset a lot of teams because, after all, the Prem is now designed to be a place where newly promoted clubs don't survive anymore
I know what you mean. I had a lad throwing personal insults yesterday which btw I relish and laugh at because I pointed out a load of inaccuracies in a post he made on the upcoming friendly. He could nt see the logic of 50k Leeds fans getting together, bringing their kids and grandkids along and having a cracking day out regardless of opposition or result.
