There was a Mag walked past us at the pub in Edinburgh, we were asking how he'd managed to peel 'ISAK' off his shirt ... ... there'll be loads who've just forked out for them
Isak's away ole ole ole Isak's away ole ole ole Isak's away Isak's away Isak's away ole ole ole that was sung loud at central station getting off the train on Saturday
'There is talk of a €20m transfer fee, including add-ons, for Granit Xhaka. If Sunderland pay this amount, he will be allowed to leave. It is quite possible that the English side will now intensify its efforts - in that case, Xhaka will leave B04 soon.' That's all just a meaningless collection of words with no facts or figures ... ... I'd guess this is Bayer trying to look as if they're driving a hard bargain while we sit there with our cards on our chest.

After many inquiries, negotiations and speculations in recent weeks, the runner-up and the management of the midfield strategist have reached a binding agreement. Premier League newcomers Sunderland must meet the conditions by the end of July. Following talks with Xhaka's advisors, Leverkusen expects the traditional English club to meet the demands. Leverkusen wants to collect up to 20 million euros, including all bonuses, for its leader, whose current contract runs until 2028. Xhaka had already reached an agreement with Sunderland last week. He has a contract with the northern English working-class city until 2028. According to BILD, his salary is over ten million euros annually. In Leverkusen, he receives around seven million euros per season.
People keep focusing on Arsenal & City as Liverpool’s contenders, but I wouldn’t be surprised to see Chelsea up there. They looked excellent v PSG.
Something like 15+5m Euros feels reasonable enough or even better but doubt they're intending to be that flexible. Higher than desired but if he helps keep us up and injects needed experience into the squad then that is invaluable
Real Sociedad have a 10% sell on for Isak and are still owed £30m from Newcastle from his 2022 transfer.
The size of their squad makes me twitch! Potential for some good loan pick ups? Maybe we have a decent relationship with them now considering how smoothly the Diarra transfer seemed to go through.
I still think they’re behind Arsenal and Liverpool, it’s a relatively young squad. They’ll be competing before long though IMO
I’m thinking injuries could be a factor. Isak has had injury problems before (not his latest fake one).
Think we’ll happily overpay for Xhaka if it’s a sizeable chunk when we stay up that takes it to their face-saving €20m
