Kamara never looks interested; it's just his style. Of course Brown is unknown, but there's also Burstow and Joseph that can do a job out wide. Considering our recruitment from the Turkish league has been somewhat poor, this just feels like a signing for the sake of a signing. Another Lokilo you might say. We're not talking about a full season; we're talking about a few weeks before the main two wingers return and can provide some competition. For 6-8 weeks. We've managed in the past with less wingers and this time it's only for a short period. Akintola just looks average, if we were bringing in a decent question it's a different story.
Yes but this mentality is what killed us last season. Writing off a chunk of games to start the season. If we go in with Brown and Kamara as the only wide options, we've got Burstow and Joseph as the rotation/off the bench options for those positions. That just wouldn't be good enough.
Naa, a lunatic in charge killed us. We ground results out under Ruben, I think we finished 12th from when he took over. That would be absolutely fine. I get that but we've had a track record of signing players for the sake of it. I think it's pretty clear, the success of this season hinges on the impact of Belloumi and Millar. If they come back slowly, but perform at a decent level, and we keep as defensively tight as we did under Ruben, we can have a successful season. I know there's a lot of concern over the squad, but the spine is pretty good.
If i have to watch another game with joseph or burstow out wide again !!! So anyone is an upgrade on that
Yes and he was awful. I would rather have Slater out wide than him. I've actually got no issue with Burstow out wide.
Akintola, interesting. I watched 5 seasons in Turkish league, well all I can say that is a pacey counter attack player on the wing.
Kamara's never looked interested, even when he bagged 2 vs Leeds.....guys just got resting bitch face is all
