It would appear he's had much more control than usual since Ashworth left and full control since he dealt with Mitchells attempts to change anything. I mean, we don't really know anything other than the fact a dof saw our recruitment team and deemed it unfit for purpose.... The Mitchell saga really makes me wonder about what happened. He was an Eales appointment. And apparently Eales wanted Mandy and her hubby out also. The club seem to be light at the top. I think Howes taken the club as far as it can go.. We hit the ceiling under the rules and unfortunately we'll now be feasted on and thrown back down the well. We'll have good times, but always be drawn back into the backwash... Psr is like a low head dam essentially...

My opinion is that the relevant people have a task to achieve which needs to be done by the time the transfer window closes. Accordingly, it would be premature to judge their success or otherwise before the expiration of that period especially if based on rumours from click bait chasing journalists and without all the facts. For example some people on here early last season wanted EH sacked. Just see how wrong they were following us winning the League Cup and getting into the CL.
