I find it baffling that the Puerta and Laalaoui deals could be stopped when they both were agreed before the embargo and restrictions. If we can’t afford them I’m glad the EFL might do that but I also don’t really understand what right they have to do so? This is all either significantly more of an issue than we realise or the EFL are overreaching surely?
As I understand it, the contracts have been signed and they’re our players. The EFL doesn’t have the authority to say they’re not our players. However, we can’t register them.
I could understand it if the EFL had said no more fees and any new wages paid have to be offset by those outgoing.
Hopefully this is all unlocked after the hearing. I would hope that off the record this has been made clear to the players as they are stuck in a horrible limbo!
Not really confirmed, though are they? Article confirms our interest in all 3, and that SJ "Hopes" to have 3 new faces in the dressing room this week. I can't see any problem with a deal for Famewo, but what hoops are we jumping through to get Lundstram and Destan? I Hope the deals are ratified by the EFL and I "Hope" all transfer restrictions are lifted. It's the "Hope" that kills you...
Good don’t need someone who thinks they are worth more than they are, perhaps Frigan may turn out better for us and the other players if we get him.
IF the EFL sanction the deal - FWIW sounds like SJ might prefer Frigan to Mcburnie. But I'll believe any signings when they happen
Me too. I get the feeling neither will come off. And we will be told its ok as our current forwards have been full of goals in the friendlys.
