Call me a pessimist but that to me has none of them being fit for the weekend written all over it. He has dolled out the same lines over Tiote every week. To be fair to Pardew he is just keeping them guessing as much as he can, a common tactic when managing small squads. I hope I'm wrong and we can see Colo but with it being a back injury it can feel alright one minute, and ****e the next. We need a bit of luck. I think Pards will be reluctant to expose Williamson and knock his confidence as he might be relying on him for the rest of the season.

I agree we won't see either of them. Swansea don't pose as much of an aerial threat as Norwich however I would be tempted to start with Smith at the back if Colo/Willo don't make it.

If he is not back then I hope it is Simpson and Colo (if Colo is back) rather than Perch and Colo.

Can't tackle though. Would be almost a guaranteed red card such is his tackling. When he nails it looks great but when he doesn't it looks horrible. Its kind of like when we had Titus but with added violence. When Titus nailed one big you thought "**** me that was beastly", then when he tried and missed we inevitably conceded a goal. Now at least Smith always make sure he stops the man!

Anyone but Perch for me. I'd give young Kadar the shirt personally.

Just having Collo back would do for me.

He would be my choice too but Pardew hates him for some reason. I would have Smudger over Perch everyday of the week!!

  10. I don't care how good Guthrie is, we've missed Tiote. Guthrie has been fantastic but we've missed the strength, the aggression and the standing tackle ability of Tiote. We've sometimes had to allow teams to run onto us.

Tiote and Colo would be great -

    I'd play this -

    --------------------Ba-------------------------

    Jonas--------------HBA------------------Obertan

    --------Tiote--------------Cabaye--------------

    Raylor------Colo---------Simpson---------Santon

    ------------------Krul----------------------------

I'd play Santon LB, but I think Raylor is more in need of Jonas protection and Santon. Santon looks comfortable on the ball and can track back very well.

Wayne bloody Routledge is an aerial threat if we gift him free headers all game, its not as if anyone got outjumped against Norwich.

Aye he's not flavour of the month. If you read the local journos, they all seem to know the club don't want him. He must have a gone backwards hard because he looked a decent propspect and already 10 times the player Perch is!

  13. It doesn't matter how good a play is in the air, one of the goals we conceded against Norwich was a completely unchallenged, free header as no one marked him.... can't believe no one was marking ****ing Morrison.

    Post game:

Pardew - "**** me James, did you not think it would be wise to mark your man at set plays, do you not remember all that work on the training ground? Did you think it was zonal marking?"
Perch - "What work and what training ground? Is that where that nice lad Mr Simpson keeps taking me every day. I like it there. They let you run around and kick balls and stuff, then they give you some din dins"

There's obviously something involving Kadar going on that we don't know about. He can't even make the bench when he's the only avaliable centre-back!

Id rather have Simpson at CB than Perch if Willo's going to miss out but Id got a feeling Pards will go with Perch unfortunatly.

Saying that if Tiote is out again I can see perch as DM :undecided:
