Delighted to hear Davide is back in training. Albeit only light training.

Probably still 6-8 weeks away from full return. But good news nevertheless :D

Howson I feel will be back At a similar time. Thoughts? MOT!.

Having Somma back will be a huge bonus, but not sure where he will fit in. He wasn't able to play as lone striker, but if SG reverts to 442 when Somma does start playing again, having him play off Becchio or anyone else should see him score a few.

Somma for me is an out and out 25 goal a season man. Somma&McCormack up top for me, if we play 4-4-2.

Agree he can be abit greedy, but almost all top players are. Much better technique than Becchio

Kissa <ok> all forwards are greedy, but they are coached to be selfish in the box and score goals mate, i would like to see Somma and McCormack as a strike partnership

Somma is the best super-sub in the league, but he's never shown enough when starting games to warrant a regular place. I would still go for Becchio & McCormack starting if we were to play a 4-4-2, although I'd rather see Rosco in Howson's regular role while Jonny's out, he almost plays it anyway.

I think we maybe rushing things a bit. I suspect SG might just loan him out to give him game time, if indeed the loan window is still open by the time he is fit enough to play. How much longer have we got Keogh for, & will we put in a bid for him in January?

Somma n Mccormack will only be good if our midfielders start to learn to pass the ball around and control the game which is something we have really struggled with!

I dont really see a spot in the team for somma to be honest. I think this injury is by far the worse thing to happen to his career at the worse possible time. For me as everyone knows, i would be going with Keogh and McCormack upfront as our starting partnership with becchio on the bench. I think all three are better than him which keeps him well away from the starting line-up especially if we play a lone striker which i dont think he can play anyway. There is good and bad traits about somma though and oddly i dont think his technique is a good trait, the only real threat he serves is he positional awareness which is fantastic but his **** doesnt compare to McCormacks

He's talented but too lazy and lightweight. Just use him as a supersub, that's what he's there for.

Would anyone consider selling McCormack with Wolves & Blackburn sniffing around him?

He's been brilliant this season, but I have a feeling he will struggle to hit another 5 this term. A very hot & cold player & if the money goes back into the squad surely we could strenghen weaker areas?

Not saying I would sell him, but if the offer is anywhere near 2 mill I think its food for thought <ok>

If someone offerred us £2m for him AND the money would go into SG's transfer budget, I'd jump at the chance. We have enough of an attacking threat without McCormack, especially if Somma does his super sub impressions again. Of more immediate concern would be RB if Connolly gets injured or booked

Somma by far is the best striker at the club, never been given a run in the team. And I dont think our formation or tactics get the best out of him

And ive got better ability than Becchio, I like him but he's very limited.

And am with bucks, if you take out the first 8 weeks of this sesaon and the last two games of last, ross has been poor, and if you look at his career he does it every club. I like him but wouldnt be against selling him.

Wouldnt be signing Keogh, like him but when your going for promotion you need two strikers scoring and he will never score many

Completely agree with Liw. Somma os a threat in every sense, ariel threat, good finish, positioning, long shots, ability to beat a player. In all these areas he is streets ahead of any other forward at the club.

Link up play isnt great though, but neither was Beckfords, not many complained then? Given a run, with a partner playing proper football, he'd set the Championship alight.

Don't agree with the aerial threat n long shots McCormack is better at Snodgrass has a bigger ability to beat a player!

Am I the only one who starting to think Becciho is not good enough.

Doesnt win headers outside the box
First touch like jack the ripper.
    Dives all the time.
    Cant pass
    Always scuffs shots

Always liked him but hes poor ability and think hes been found out

agree with the diving mate but I think all the other faults are all down to his lack of fitness this year!
