I have just had a thought (i know i was told not to think!!) and was wondering if as the year draws to a close we should have an awards ceremony. Nothing too serious, just a bit of light hearted fun. Some of the awards could be Lifetime achievement award Best newcomer Class clown Best dancer Best match threads Most Inappropriatly Misleading Poster Salisbury Fan of the Year Best long distance supporter Best Avatar Best Signature Best Visiting supporter Young Fan of the Year Hide and Seek player of the year and any you can think of. It would be nice to get one for everyone so as not to seem elitist. I was just wondering what you guys thought? If you don't like it then we don't have to do it.

Might be a good idea , but how about keeping it until the end of season , we will need things like this to amuse ourselves in the highly boring close season! So for the here and now I vote no!
I nominate NZHorn for the award of long distance supporter. This is one vote I will make. Is the award for the year of 2011 or the season of 2011-2012.
I like the idea, but could only vote yes conditional on there not being any overtly negative categories. We all know who the WUMs are, and most of us know who does and doesn't like who. If we can keep that side of things out of it then this will be a great thing for those interested (self included), and those who aren't interested can ignore it with peace of mind that they're not being slagged off.
I like to think of myself as a sort of 'internal WUM'. I try and ensure at least 90% of my posts are confusing, misleading, mildly offensive and sarcastic. I think I have reached this 90% target, so feel I am deserving of the award 'Watford FC Not606 Most Inappropriatly Misleading Poster'.
Can I please put forward the "Salisbury Fan of the Year" Award? I have seen someone else knocking about in a Watford jacket, so think I have a 50/50 chance of winning!

Thats a good idea, like i said this was just an idea i had suddenly last night and thought it would be a bit of a laugh. Thats a good award AK i will add that one. I dont know yet, but it could end up being for the season rather than the calendar year. Dont worry NNW, i wont put any overtly negative ones. All awards are to be either tongue in cheek, for instance Norway might win the grumpy old man award. My comment about the biggest wum was a response to Roo's comments about how he hates the site. If that is the award you would like then we can do that for you. Unless you think of another one. No problem, unless we get an objection.
