Thanks for the great thread Chris. All the best to Liverpool and their fans, they're a great bunch who appreciate all thats good in the game. I hope to see The Premiership Trophy in Liverpool soon. Definately rather there than Manchester. Cheers.
Yeah but rather actually in Manchester than in Salford again As per usual I thought the QPR fans were on good form today got lucky in terms of the eventual scoreline but at least you've now got a keeper who'll be loaded with confidence and please keep a clean sheet next weekend....we'll all be happy with that.
EXCLUSIVE: Barton and Bellamy in X-rated tunnel bust-up... pair separated following exchange By Sami Mokbel Last updated at 8:28 AM on 12th December 2011 Craig Bellamy and Joey Barton were involved in a X-rated tunnel bust-up at Anfield on Saturday. The controversial pair had a heated exchange of words during the closing stages of Liverpool's slender 1-0 weekend win. Queens Park Rangers boss Neil Warnock tried to brush the on-pitch feud under the carpet in the post-match press conference. Heated: Bellamy (left) remonstrates with Barton (right in blue-and-white shirt) But Sportsmail can reveal that the combative pair were embroiled in a foul-mouthed row moments after the final whistle as bad blood between the two spilled into the tunnel area. Bellamy and Barton traded explicit F-word rants as the rift threatened to erupt into something more violent. But the pair were separated and ushered into their respective dressing rooms before the row escalated any further. An eyewitness told Sportsmail: 'It was more words than anything else, like handbags at 10 paces. 'Let's just say some of the language they used was only for the ears of the working man. Flashpoint: Bellamy and Barton exchange words on the pitch before carrying on the argument off it in the Anfield tunnel Match winner! Suarez nodded home to seal the points for Liverpool 'But neither player would have voluntarily backed down. There was a bit of a giggle in the tunnel afterwards given which players were involved.' The FA will wait on referee Lee Mason’s report before deciding whether to investigate the incident further. However, the duo are likely to avoid FA sanctions given the bust-up was purely verbal and no physical violence was involved. Waiting: Warnock and Dalglish will discover if their players are to face charges iReader http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...ton-Craig-Bellamy-X-rated-tunnel-bust-up.html
Both of them are 'excitable' players (and wouldn't be the same without that spark). They were separated and therefore no harm done. Typical of out manky press that they have to make an issue out of a non-event in the tunnel!
A Joey Barton cameo. His career and life have been marked by numerous controversial incidents and disciplinary problems,[4] and he has been convicted twice on charges of violence. On 20 May 2008 he was sentenced to six months' imprisonment for common assault and affray during an incident outside a McDonald's restaurant in Liverpool City Centre.[5] Barton served 77 days of this prison term, being released on 28 July 2008.[6] On 1 July 2008 he was also given a four months suspended sentence after admitting assault occasioning actual bodily harm on former teammate Ousmane Dabo during a training ground dispute, on 1 May 2007.[7] This incident effectively ended his Manchester City career.[8] Three days after his release, he was charged with violent conduct by The FA for the assault on Dabo.[9] In October 2011, some newspaper reports published pictures of him alongside Tommy Robinson prompting accusations of links to the EDL. Barton has denied any such links.[10] Source Wikipedia.
Could'nt really understand why you posted a mini hatchet job on Bellamy. So i felt the need to create some parity.
It was just a para I liked from the match report, I quite like Bellers really(he hates Chelsea/Terry) I'll edit.
Cheers Northolt. This is what Bellamy is about off the field of play. http://www.craigbellamyfoundation.org/
