Anyone get that feeling ... 'our name is kn the cup' ? Messy against the Swedes, won it, blunt for large parts against the Italians, won it, just get that feeling its our year again.
For the record while James is a talent, someone needs to tell her to get her finger out her arse and put in the effort like the rest of the team.

I dunno, I feel like this women’s tournament is mirroring the last men’s Euros fairly well.

Theyre not playing brilliantly but finding a way to scrape past. The men did very similar, the group performance was stagnant and we didn’t press on in the knock outs) remember Slovenia 0-0? Slovakia last minute equaliser? Swiss penalty shoot out?)

We scraped through to a final and were outclassed by Spain……ah.

    Come on Germany….

That's exactly how I saw it and The scoreline in the final flattered us because a fairer scoreline would have been 4 v 1

Yeah, I was saying similar to my mate lash night; there have been a lot of similarities between England at this tournament and the last few men's ones. In both genders we've got quite good at reaching the latter stages of tournaments with an unprecedented consistency, although often failed to impress in individual games, particularly in knockout games when we're strong favourites. Struggling to get a tune out of James and hauling her off all the time is reminiscent of similar struggles at tournaments for Kane and Bellingham, or Rooney going back a bit further.

I think getting carried away thinking that we're going to win it is foolish. Spain look ridiculously good and we will be underdogs assuming they make the final. I imagine that will make it a very different challenge and a different sort of game.

I can only think that someone at the FA has been looking at how sides in the mid-late 10s won tournaments (particularly thinking of Portugal) and have been working on that plan with Serina and Gareth.

Spain at the men’s Euros and women’s World Cup suggests that football may have changed again to win a tournament but I’m enjoying our consistent late stage appearances now.

James has got talent but seems to be lazy .What was the reason she was subbed at half time the commentators seem to think she had a knock but I cant recall her getting stuck in enough to get one ,unless it was pre match .

When they get the subs on, England's energy levels seem to go up (I know it's partly because we're generally behind by then), we press better, play higher up the pitch and attack the right flank more. Some of this is because James, talented though she is, doesn't work as hard as Mead or Kelly, and isn't looking to get wide and get crosses in as much as them. Given that there's no way we will stop Spain from scoring, and it's hard to believe they won't get at least two, I think Wiegman needs to ditch the cautious approach and start the subs, e.g. Agyemang for Russo and Mead/Kelly for James. The only way we are going to get a result is by scoring at least twice, and relying on miracle endings seems unlikely a third time.

I don't think that our tempo or energy particularly changed last night. We were getting the ball into their area all night but it wasn't ever falling nicely for anyone, always just too high for a header or just too wide of an attacker who was close to meeting it. The quality of deliveries into the box was OK but not good enough to hurt them, they were often being headed away fairly easily by a defender positioned well with the cross in front of them. Eventually I think it was Kelly put a much better ball in late on which turned their defence and caused the ball to drop for Agyemang. I think the improved quality of that ball was the decisive difference, and that's often what you need when you're trying to break down a resolute defence.

You can’t help but wonder what more Kelly has to do to get a start. Is it 3 of the last 4 goals she’s either scored or set up?

on that opinion you could say the same for Agyemang who has also scored 3 in 4.

She's been incredible all tournament, shame if that's how it finishes for her.
